Back to Germany today! We just cleaned the house and our rooms. Philipp and myself bought our first fish and chips actually. It was way too much, but tasty. Wayne took us later to Victoria and from there we went by bus to London Stansted. When we arrived at Chemnitz we were very tired, but a little bit hungry, so we went to "curry26" and enjoyed "Currywurst Berliner Art". I think everybody would agree, when I say; London was very exciting and all of us learned something, at least we got to know each other more and had time to really get to know London a little bit better as well.

10 September

Today was presentation day. 9 am we met with Lukas in the garden and did some Warm Up for the last time. 10 am we started with our final presentations on the topic "It's all about Life Dreams". Afterwards we had pizza, and got our certificates. Later Eugenia, Sandra, Linda and I went to the centre of London. Our plan was a ride at the London eye, but unfortunately it was already closed, when we got there. Anyway, our last evening in London was awesome and we won't forget it.

It is our last working day. I thought I would present the final results to my placement company. But no one was in today. The son of my supervisor was in the hospital and he was of course with him. So back to West Norwood.

Another day at the office, at Cool Tan Arts, the company I work for. I did not do very much, because I had to prepare some paperwork for the embrace cooperation, but it was quiet a good day there. The first day I felt completely fine here in London.

I already received a new task on Thursday, which contained creating a logo for a company called ‚Transfashion‘. The right font was already chosen, but it was not possible to fill it with requested dots, so I had to browse the internet for a fitting one. After a while I found the right font and prepared several versions of the logo for the tracing in illustrator the next day.
There are still a lot of task left for ‚Transfashion‘. The logo was the first step, but I don’t think there’s enough time left for me to finish the left ones.

This day Sandra and I started a trip through London to visit all the important sights.
We started with train and tub to the Westminster Abbey after that the Big Ben and the St. Pauls Cathedral. Than we walked alongside the River Thames to the London Bridge. The weather on this day was very well. I remembered that we necessarily wanted to drink a freshly squeezed orange juice. Yummy! It tasted so good(:
On the end of this day we were very gone and felt good as we arrived at home.

After Lunch I took some photos of the staff, for example of Martin, Aron and Rita. Weather was nice so after work I decided to go to to Hyde Park with Eugenia, Philipp, Thony and Felix. It was so great! Full of people, but very relaxed and I think we all enjoyed it!

A new day, a new task. I should create a logo for another Internet site. The name is "PropDB". I wasn't very crativ this day. I think the carneval one day before could be a reason for.

Bank holiday Monday. I have heard that there are big parades with dancing people in Notting Hill today. Might be a big attraction, but not for me. I preferred staying at home in Norwood, sitting in the backyard and enjoying some cigarettes and cups of coffee in the sun.

On the first day of Carnival Rita, Lukas, the guys from the carpenter group and me met at St. Paul’s Cathedral, to go to Shakespeare’s Globe Theater and watched the play Troilus and Cressida.
I enjoyed standing right in front of the stage and the energy and emotions of the actors. The old English was quite hard to understand, but I was able to follow the plot pretty well.
Then we had a walk to a huge, nice-looking pub, where we drank some drinks together and made small talk.

Saturday. No stress, no work.....only shopping at Camden
Town. I´ve never seen so many different and interesting
things, which prices were not so high! But of course I spend
much money there.

On this day we had our English Workshop at Embrace. At first we made a Warm up to prepare for it. We also had to lecture our last week experiences. After that we read a very difficult text from a magazine and translate that. We had tuned the tenses. It was boring but very important to understand this for example for our last presentation.
At the evening I went to the park in the near of our house and took some pictures of the great Skyline of London. So I was very impressed about it.

At the evening we went out to a club.

This day started pretty well for me with delicious breakfast! At work I looked through all the information on the Embrace Woodlands – project, John gave me. Instantly some ideas came to my mind and I made some first designs. After lunch I finished the first flyer for Embrace Woodlands. I got a mail from Dirk with the task to do a flyer for the Russian Language School “Raduga” and I checked out their website at first.
At the beginning it was a little bit difficult, because I had no idea how I could make the design, but after some time thinking about it I made my first Design, which is now the final one, going t be printed. So, day was successfully!

Today I went to Camden Town with Thony, Philipp, Lisa and Eugenia. It was very impressive. There were so many little Stores which sell things that you can not even imagine. The most fascinating place there was this really big marketplace called Camden Lock with all sorts of food from all over the world, stores of unknown designers and an exhibition of pictures of the Woodstock festival and famous rock stars. By the end of that day, I fell into a satisfied sleep.

It was Friday, the day for English lessons. We got together with Lukas to do some warm up and did our presentation. To improve our skills we archived some exercises related to terms and discussed on several topics.
Afterwards we went out to visit London at night. Especially at Leicester Square. I was surprised that it was very easy and also fast to get back to our house via night busses.

On this day Andreas, a staff of Embrace brought Felix and me to our placements. We went by train and tub and were very glad as we arrived at CoolTan Arts. The people there were friendly and asked us some things for example about our education.
We had not much to do on this day so we went home early. At the afternoon we talked with the other students what they have done and where they are.

For the very first time I made acquaintance with the feeling of an English morning.
My first impression after I woke up was a simple wooow and I start asking myself why the stereotype of an every day rainy London is not right.
At this day our group would spend their first hours with Lukas. He would be our “English Teacher” for the next Time especially his task is to prepare us as good as possible for the Big Final Presentation of our Life Dreams. After we had class with Lukas, a group of 5 persons (Lisa, Eugenia, Felix, Philipp, and I) decide to explore the impressive city Centre of London. All the time at this evening I had this strange phrase in my Head “I become the simple souvenir of someone's Kiss”, please ask me not why such a phrase has overcome me while I see for the first time the city of London.

Our first day in London! From Altenburg we toke the plane to London Stansted. We got a first impression on how awesome London at night can be, when we arrived at Liverpool Street, where Martin and Matthias picked us up. At 10.30 pm we achieved St. Cloud Road. Martin organized a full fridge, so some of us instantly went to bed, while the others could had a midnight snack: pizza.
So we sat down in the garden, enjoyed our meal and relaxed. We all were very happy when we finally went to sleep.
